Summary:
A Suffolk County based Communication company is seeking a full time Network Administrator / Help Desk.
Candidate must be able to work independently with little supervision. This candidate will be
responsible for end user support for multiple locations, server and network monitoring, maintenance and repairs.
Customer are Emergancy Service,Police ,Fire Etc.We also do Ip based phone systems,and Ip dispacth centers with NYS contracts .The person we are looking for
must be confident in 2003 servers, know how to install a Domain Server and Users ,Backups,Lan and Wan. Be able to run 15 computer to 100 computers.Must know 2003 exchange server.
Basically be able to fix and work station,install a printer, redo a complete server 2003, fix exchange server.Look for aggressive person 21 up
that wants to grow with company .If you have experienced in servers ,networking and could go to a client and fix a 2003 server ,install 50 computer and are full experienced in
run a domian whcih is a must . Your our Guy.We will be upgrading many clients to 2008, It is a plus if you have worked with VM ware.You can be part of the team.
The Server and Computer side you will run.15-20 clients
Ip Phone side you will be trained (Avaya)
Ip Dispacth system you will trained
At lote of good application with growing company.
Responsibilities:
• First point of contact for end user support
• Maintain daily backups
• PC, server, and network setup and maintenance
• Windows Server experience (Windows 2003, 2008 Have some knowlege) a must
Ability to network computers, install shared printers, etc.
•- Remove virus from infected computers
•- Ability to put together PC’s using motherboard, case, CPU
•- Software installation
•- Install add on boards and memory in desktops and servers
•- Knowledge of server 2008/2003 set up and installation a big plus.
•- Troubleshoot network problems, printer issues,…
•- provide telephone support to users; identify system, network, or software problem and provide instructions to resolve issue
• identify and resolve hardware and software failures•
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years job experience preferred.
• Network troubleshooting (Router, Firewall, Switches)
• Ability to communicate with non-technical users full experienced in
run a domian server 2003 a must
• Windows Server experience (Windows 2003, some 2008)
• Able to multitask and work efficiently ,It is a plus if you have worked with VM ware,
